When you choose to have a small wedding.

Who said you need a big wedding?

It can be a little bit of a controversial subject, kind of, because of the ‘who not to invite’ and offending parents and disappointing family. Also how hard is it to  get your guest list down, especially at a destination wedding.

You can get married with 200 people plus and it will be AMAZING. The party absolutely the best-top top, surrounded by all of your global important people, completely loving you all over.

And then you could have a wedding with just the two of you (not because you don’t have those 200 family and friends) but because you can really feel all the real feels of what you are doing. Why you are doing it and how you will wake up: the next day as husband and wife.

Ibiza and the Balearic Islands have some of the top European wedding destination venues for big luxury beautiful weddings. Have you seen them all over socials? They also have some stunning locations to have that intimate sweet and sexy elopement. This can be just with the two of you but also maybe 6. Or even up to 20. This year I photographed done a one of each these.

Why I have loved them: the honesty, the intimate, the emotion, the slower less stressed pace, the its ok to stop, wait go back, oops we forgot the flowers, the music wasn’t right, lets stand here instead of here, it does not matter.

So Why Elope?

The Big one,

:the cost. Save on all the ‘dollars’ for venue hire, flowers, favours, food, drink, bands, Djs. This does NOT mean ;don’t make it lush and luxury. Still have THE dress, the bouquet, the ceremony, the rings, the vows, a car ??(cool for photos), and amazing dinner, even: Make it into a day, a breakfast, lunch ceremony and dinner, and dancing later or maybe a swim.

: also the ceremony of it all, weddings since Instagram seem to have become a bit of a show. I feel couples are forgetting that they are getting married, forever!!

: Being shy. I photograph a lot of couples who don’t like to be center of attention.They don’t even get to relax the whole day.

These are just some of the things I see as top reasons to elope.
