2025 has been the year of proposal.

After a couple of years of calm it felt like:

LOVE IS BACK and everyone is getting engaged.

A friend said, when I told her that I had photographed quite a few proposals, why would anyone want that photographed-because it is such an intimate moment about them between the couple, to be kept as a memory between them.

True.

But it is also such a beautiful moment to capture and be part of.

The excitement for them. The secret. The anticipation. The being part of their love.

It is actually such an amazing little moment photograph and the sweetest moment to be part of.

You will see me there with giggle and tear behind the camera.

I have helped set up the idea and place of ‘how’ it is going to happen. The ones I have photographed have been no frills, just a moment, in a beautiful place- two lovers and a yes! Does it always go to plan. No. Have they all been yeses- Yes.

How it goes: we choose a place and time. I am in a bush or pretending to be a tourist with a camera. They turn up, mooch about and he gets on his knee. I start photographing. He pops out a ring and the question and she says yes. And then we have a lovely little romantic couple session to end it.
