Six Senses Ibiza
The new hot spot hotel set in the hills of the North of the Island
It is the new hot spot hotel on our Ibiza island. Fast to grow its reputation as the luxury go to Ibiza place to be. With its rather large and luxurious rooms and villas, countless restaurants and bars, holistic spaces, spa and yoga decks. Sea side swimming and activities too. It has one of those Ibiza sunsets and very lush gardens ALL around. IT IS very spectacular.
As world famous as Ibiza is at the moment, especially with the high end jet set, of course it is very busy. With guests, famous and not so famous, events, and even weddings now (I have yet to photograph one there but I am sure it will come). Over the last two years Clarissa (a photographer on my team) and I have spent some time photographing events, influencers, couples, portraits, sunsets and sunrises. It really does have a big range of photo opportunities and backdrops. I think they call it Photogenic
Though I cannot go away without saying, as someone who grew up in the Xuclar bay, it is hard to see this side of the island getting impacted by ‘the famous’. Up until now it has always stayed on the south of the Ibiza and ‘our’ north Ibiza coast has been kept relatively un touched. Six Senses has not gotten away with its share of island controversy, (from locals and politics). It is big and it is making an environmental impact on the sweet deserted cliff it is built on, which is not going over looked. So I hope their sustainable reputation stays at the forefront of their mission.
Ibiza is fine as it is !
Here is a small snap shot of some of the work we have photographed there over the last two years.
